How we write and review health information
Families use this website to make decisions about their health. These are the rules we follow so that you can rely on what you read.
Who writes
Articles are written by our content team or by our doctors. Every medical article names its author.
Who reviews
Before publishing, a consultant at Atlas Hospitals in the relevant speciality checks the article for accuracy. Their name, qualifications and the review date appear on the page.
Our sources
We base our content on clinical guidelines and peer-reviewed research from recognised bodies, such as national specialist societies, the Indian Council of Medical Research, the World Health Organization and major medical journals. Sources are listed at the end of each article.
Keeping it current
Every article is reviewed at least once every 12 months, or sooner when medical guidance changes.
What we will not do
We do not publish success rates, patient numbers or comparisons we cannot verify, and we do not describe ourselves as "the best". We do not accept advertising or sponsored content.
Patient stories
We share a patient's story only with their written consent, and we never change what they say about their outcome.
