Professional Biography & Background
Dr S. Balaji is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Atlas Hospitals, where he has worked since July 2018. He treats sports injuries, ligament and cartilage problems of the knee and shoulder, fractures, knee arthritis, and conditions of the foot and ankle.
He completed his MS in Orthopaedics at Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, and a two-year National Board fellowship in arthroscopy and sports medicine at Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore. He has trained in shoulder and elbow surgery in Sydney, Australia, and received the Indian American Shoulder and Elbow Society fellowship in 2022. Before joining Atlas he was Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics at Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College, Puducherry.
